Deliverable 5.4.2 Health risk assessment
Center for Climate Change aiming to assess the burden of diseases attributable to air pollution in the regions of interest, Health Impact Assessment – the counterfactual approach has been applied, using several types of data. The estimations for the city of Bitola, shows that 6.4% of total mortality could be avoided if recommended EU Directive limit value for PM2.5 is met, but the proportion of avoidable death cases is even higher (14.4% of total death cases) if WHO AQG limit values for PM2.5 could be met which is of course a significant health benefit. Deliverable 3.4.2 Development of regional emission inventory for South East region
Center for Climate Change has created the regional emission inventory for South East region. The scope of the deliverable is to calculate the emissions of the basic pollutants, dust, heavy metals and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH). The deliverable is available here.

Deliverable 3.4.1 Identification of emission sources
The Center for Climate Change –Gevgelija has developed a strategy for improving air quality in the eastern zone agglomeration.
This deliverable identifies the air emissions sources in the Southeast region of the Republic of Northern Macedonia, which is the basis for preparing the air emission inventory. Both, this deliverable and the inventory are being prepared for the needs of the Municipalities in the region in order to define and plan measures to improve air quality in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning. Environmental Centre of Western Macedonia (KEPE) is developing the Regional Inventory of Regional Unit of Florina, aiming at recording the emissions of different kind of polluters in the area. This deliverable under the TRAP project is meant to have both policy and scientific use by policy makers and scientists, respectively.
